The Mission of the South Holland Police Department is to create and maintain a climate of safety and security within our community, while delivering quality police and customer services, treating all with respect and dignity, representing ourselves and the village in a positive manner and fostering an environment that actively solicits community participation.
The South Holland Police Department is comprised of Lieutenants, Sergeants, Detectives, and Patrol Officers. The Investigative and Patrol Divisions work together in enforcing both the Illinois Compiled Statutes and the Village of South Holland Municipal Code. The Patrol Division actively patrols the 7.3 square miles of South Holland and services the over 22,000 citizens. The officers answer the calls assigned by a central dispatch (E-Com), averaging over 2,400 calls per month. Each officer is trained as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B), and assists the South Holland Fire Department with Paramedic calls.
