Smoke / Carbon Monoxide Detector Program
The South Holland Fire Department has initiated an aggressive Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Program.
Illinois State Law requires that all residences in the state have working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the home.
The Fire Department will provide, free of charge, up to three Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detector in an owner occupied home.
Participants in this program must be homeowners in the Village of South Holland. This program is not available for rental properties.
The South Holland Fire Department will provide and install Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detectors to elderly or disabled residents and to those who are financially unable to purchase or install their own smoke alarms.
The homeowner must be present at the time of the smoke/carbon monoxide detector installation. If you do not own your home but have concerns about your smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, contact your property manager.
Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detectors are not guaranteed.
