GovTemps is accepting resumes for the contractual position of Interim Director of Public Works at the Village of South Holland, IL (pop. 22,030). The term of this assignment is anticipated at 3-6 months and would be ideal for a retired Public Works professional.

About the Position. The position reports to a professional Village Administrator and manages a department consisting of 22 full-time positions, including a Deputy Director (unfilled), two Superintendents, laborers and support staff. The Interim Director will be responsible for water & sewer, streets, facility & equipment maintenance and parks and public spaces.
Position Requirements. Interim candidates should have several years of local government management experience with a strong familiarity and understanding with the operations of a municipal public works department. Desired traits include fully developed administrative, communication and leadership skills.
