DECEMBER 17, 2020

Since the COVID-19 health crisis began in March of 2020, the South Holland Community Center has revised many of its programs and operations in order to keep its employees and patrons safe, while still offering opportunities to stay active. However, the capacity limits of the Governor’s executive order, combined with a sense of caution within the community to engage in recreational programming, has caused Community Center staff to reevaluate its operations.

As a result, the South Holland Community Center will temporarily suspend all operations—with the exception of the Pre-School—at 9pm on Wednesday, December 30.

The reopening date will be based on a combination of three factors: the lifting of the Governor’s executive order; the widespread availability of the COVID-19 vaccine; and the comfort level of our residents to once again engage in recreational programming.

The Community Center staff is grateful to its members and customers who have continually supported the mission of providing a welcoming environment where community members gather, play, and recreate. We’ll see you soon!
