POSITION SUMMARY:
SoHo Cafe, based in the Village of South Holland, Illinois, a leading suburb located 25 miles south of downtown Chicago, is seeking cooks to prepare delicious breakfast and lunch dishes. SoHo Cafe is a quaint cafe in downtown South Holland that serves fresh-made elevated homestyle cooking, along with Sherman’s ice cream and Kusanya coffee. With its beautiful, calming décor, outdoor patio with fire pit, and savory menu, SoHo Cafe is a popular community hangout and regional destination spot.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working independently or in a team to cook and prepare food items according to recipes
- Cook items according to specified cook times to ensure they are safe for consumption
- Work on your feet, either stationary or constantly moving for the full shift
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Clean and sanitize workstation and maintain orderly work area
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good communication skills required.
- Food manager certification required.
- Must have open availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Minimum 1 year of restaurant cooking experience preferred.
