Central Bark
South Holland’s Central Bark is a members-only dog park that is situated on a beautifully wooded one-acre, fenced-in lot, so your dog will have the ability to run free.
The park’s amenities include:
- Key card access gates
- Lights
- Separate small and large dog play area
- Drinking fountains for dogs and humans
- Pet waste bags
- A spacious shade shelter
Central Bark allows for your furry friends to enjoy a place to exercise and socialize, which means happy, well-behaved canines. It also provides pet owners with a place to share information about vets, boarding, training and simply the joys of pet ownership.

Membership:
Central Bark is open to both residents and non-residents, but it is a members-only park. Central Bark Park Membership registration requires proof of a current animal license as well as specific vaccinations, including rabies, from a veterinarian.

Annual Membership Fees:
Central Bark Park passes may be purchased with fees as follows:
Residents
First dog: $35
Additional dog: $10
Non-Residents
First dog: $50
Additional dog: $20
Day Pass:
$20 per dog, per day (Proof of vaccinations is required)
$25 fee to replace lose ID cards
Dog Park memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable. Membership runs a year from the date you register for a membership.
Central Bark Policies:
In order to foster a fun, safe, and family friendly environment all Central Bark members are required to adhere to the following policies:
- All dogs must be registered with the Village of South Holland to use Central Bark.
- Dog’s tag must be worn and visible at all times while at Central Bark.
- Owners are legally responsible for the behavior of their dog at all times. Never leave dogs unattended.
- Owners must pick up dog feces and dispose of it in the waste receptacles located throughout the park.
- Dogs must be on a leash when outside of the fenced-in park, including to and from the parking lot.
- Children must be at least 12 years of age and must be accompanied by an adult.
- Please ensure gate is completely shut behind you.
- Central Bark is for dog owners and dogs only. Persons not engaged in dog-related activities are not permitted to use this area.
- Use Central Bark at your own risk.
- If there is an incident, complete an Incident Report Form and email it to centralbark@southholland.org.
Prohibited:
- Loud music
- Dogs in heat
- Sick dogs
- Reactive dogs
- Dogs under 4 months of age
- Glass containers
- Dog food/long-lasting chews
- Pinch or choke collars
