Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector Program
The South Holland Fire Department is committed to protecting residents through proactive fire safety initiatives. As part of this effort, the department offers a Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Program designed to help ensure homes throughout the Village remain safe and properly equipped.
Illinois State Law requires all residences to have working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors installed in the home. These devices provide critical early warnings that can help save lives in the event of fire or dangerous carbon monoxide exposure.
To support residents in meeting this requirement, the Fire Department may provide up to three smoke/carbon monoxide detectors free of charge for owner-occupied homes within the Village of South Holland.
