About the Department
The Village of South Holland Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining and improving the community’s essential infrastructure. Our team ensures that public facilities, parks, roadways, traffic signals, sewer systems, and street lights are safe, reliable, and well-maintained.
In addition to daily operations, the department also designs and constructs infrastructure improvements to support the future growth of South Holland.
Divisions
Public Works is organized into six divisions:
- Administration
- Parks Maintenance
- Roads and Right-of-Ways
- Water, Sewer, and Stormwater
- Facility Maintenance
- Fleet Maintenance
Together, these divisions include 38 full-time employees and 8 seasonal staff, all dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the Village’s infrastructure.

The department is led by:
